Animating science through compelling narratives

As an accomplished scientific and medical writer, I have over 10 years of experience creating compelling and informative content across a diverse range of scientific disciplines. With a solid academic background in molecular biology, coupled with my work as a Scientist in both academic and industry settings, I have honed my ability to transform complex scientific research into engaging narratives that captivate and inform readers.

For my writing style, I strive to be clear, brief, and bold. I have reviewed hundreds of scientific documents, including manuscripts, abstracts, theses, and white papers, and one thing stands out: while scientists don’t necessarily write “word salads”, they do tend to produce “Olive Gardens” – dense, verbose language that fills the page, but is utterly unsatisfying.

To me, the art of scientific communication is in delivering data unhindered by unnecessary jargon and crafting articles that can convey science to a variety of audiences. My approach to writing consists of informing and engaging. I deliver scientific concepts and results clearly and concisely, while crafting an overall narrative to captivate and satisfy the reader.

Beyond my writing skills, I bring a collaborative and proactive approach to my work. I am experienced in working closely with physicians, subject matter experts, scientists, and research teams to gather information, conduct interviews, and gather critical insights for developing compelling scientific narratives.

Moreover, I am well-versed in many scientific fields, including oncology, immunology, neurology, and infectious disease. I thrive on the challenge of learning new subjects and distilling complex information into engaging stories that resonate with diverse audiences.

My credentials as a Certified Medical Publication Professional (CMPP) and my Essential Skills Certificate from the American Medical Writers Association (AMWA) underscore my commitment to excellence in medical writing and publication management.

A story is a linear-temporal phenomenon. It proceeds, and charms us (or doesn’t), one line at a time.
